Payees are external parties or other companies' employees that your company hired on a special project basis. Arrangements with these companies may necessitate setting up these parties as regular employees with a special provision to issue payroll checks in the other company's name for these parties' services. In AccountMate, you can set up these companies as third-party payees and cut payroll checks for their employees with the third-party payee's name showing on the check and the employee's name listed under the designation "for the services of."

For a quick glance of the payee records set up in AccountMate, print or preview the Payee Listing. This report displays each payee's ID, company name and address. This report is most useful when you need to verify the identities and addresses of the external parties whom your company pays for outsourced jobs/special projects done.
