Manufacturing - Print Routing Slip
The Print Routing Slip function allows you to preview and print a routing slip that provides information on the manufacturing instructions, raw materials quantities, labor resource, and machine time needed to manufacture an inventory item. You can print routing slips for jobs that are yet to be posted to work-in-process. You can use the routing slip as reference in planning the job production, in determining the master items backorder quantities, in identifying the proposed start and end time for manufacturing the items, and in comparison with the Production Slip to determine the variance between the planned and actual production results. This function allows you to print for an alignment test only and to suppress the report labels' background color. You can also opt to show the instructions for each step of the manufacturing process and to print a separate report for each step. You can choose to show information about the remnant items included in the work order and to generate an additional page where you can write the actual remnant quantity created when the job is being finished. You can also elect to print all the previously printed routing slips, all the unprinted routing slips, or all routing slips regardless of their printing status. You can print the routing slips either on pre-printed forms or on a plain paper. You can print multiple copies of the routing slips with user-defined labels. You can set up these parameters in the MI Module Setup > Printing tab. |
