The Analysis Reports provides detailed information on the GL account ID balances in a given period and the changes in the GL account ID balance between periods. These reports help you in reviewing the trend of the company’s operations by analyzing the changes in the GL account ID balances. These reports are designed to provide filter options so you can narrow down data to the information you need.

GL Period Analysis

The GL Period Analysis allows you to view the GL Account ID’s balances and details of transactions for each fiscal period of either the current, prior, or future fiscal year. It further provides information about GL account ID’s balances and changes for each period in a selected fiscal year. The report is generated for an individual GL account and includes a graphical presentation of the data shown in the report.

The report can be used as reference in verifying the movement of recorded GL account ID balances with the actual business transactions. It also helps in understanding the overall operations of the company by investigating the reasons for the GL account balance changes. The report can further be used as a guide in preparing periodic forecasts by analyzing the pattern of changes for each GL account ID balance over a range of periods.

Balance Change Report

The Balance Change Report provides information on any changes in the GL Account balance between two specified periods within a fiscal year. This report shows the beginning and ending account balance for each period and calculates the change between the two balances. This report is useful for verifying and monitoring the changes in the GL Account ID balances to better understand the company’s overall operations.

You can select to show in the report the GL Account IDs.

Account Balance Report

The Account Balance Report provides information on the GL Account ID balances either for each period or a range of periods. The year-to-date Account Balance report displays each GL Account ID’s cumulative balance at the end of every selected period while the period-to-date report displays the GL account ID’s balance for each period only. This report is useful for analyzing accounts for consistency, detecting pattern of changes for each GL account balance over a range of periods, and as a reference in preparing periodic forecasts.

You can select to generate this report using the period-to-date or year-to-date option. You can also opt to include zero balance accounts in this report.
