Manufacturing - Finished Jobs Reports
The Finished Jobs Reports provide information about finished jobs, resources used on finished jobs, machine and labor resources applied to jobs, production variances, remnants, and scraps. Each of the Finished Jobs Reports has various options and criteria that provide a wide variety of finished job-related information and report formats. Read the information below to get a closer look at each of the Finished Jobs Reports available in the Manufacturing module. Finished Work Report The Finished Work Report provides information on the completed manufacturing work orders. A work order is completed once all its manufacturing steps are posted as done. This report displays the finished work order numbers, job numbers, master item numbers and descriptions, request dates, start dates, finished dates, finished quantities, unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the finished manufacturing work order. This report comes in handy when you need to evaluate productivity in terms of job completion and to monitor the cost of finished jobs in each work order. You can generate the report showing only completed work orders, only the incomplete work orders,
or all work orders regardless of their completion status.
Resources Used Report The Resources Used Report provides information inventory, labor, and machine components that are used to finish a work order. Specifically, this report displays the work order numbers, component numbers and descriptions, component type, finished dates, manufacturing step levels, work shifts, time or quantities used, scrap quantities, unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the components that have been used to complete each work order. This report can be used to identify the resources used in completed work orders and to monitor the cost of each component used to complete a work order. You can also use this report as reference in updating an inventory item's bill of materials record. You can choose to include in the report only the inventory components, only the machine
components, only the labor components, or all components regardless of their types.
Machine Used Report The Machine Used Report provides information on the usage and availability of machine
resources in completing a work order. This report lists the machine component numbers and
descriptions, manufacturing step levels, finished date, work type, and time used of the machine
resources utilized to complete the work order. This report is useful in identifying the machine
time used to complete a job. It also serves as reference in updating the inventory item's bill
of materials record.
Labor Used Report The Labor Used Report provides information on the labor resources used to complete
manufacturing a work order. This report displays details such as work order numbers, labor
component numbers and descriptions, work shifts, finished dates, manufacturing step level,
and time used of the labor resources utilized to complete the work order. This report is
useful in identifying the labor time used to complete a job. It can also serve as reference
in updating an inventory item's bill of materials record.
Production Variance Report The Production Variance Report provides information on the finished work orders and the
variance between the expected and actual raw material quantities used, labor time and machine time
used to complete the work order. This report includes details such as work order numbers, component
numbers and descriptions, manufacturing step level, actual quantities and costs, standard quantities
and costs, quantity and cost variances, and production variances of each completed work order. You
can use this report as reference in evaluating production efficiency and performance and in planning
the use of resources in future manufacturing productions.
Remnants Report The Remnants Report provides information on the remnant items created during the
manufacturing process and on the remnant items' costs that may affect the finished job costs.
Specific information displayed in the report includes the work order numbers, job numbers,
remnant item numbers and descriptions, item's unit of measure, warehouse, finished date,
remnant item quantities and unit costs, and extended costs of the remnant items created in
the process of completing job. You can use this report in identifying the remnant items
created in the process of completing a work order and in monitoring the remnant item costs.
It also serves as reference in verifying the accuracy of finished job costs.
