Manufacturing - Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Reports

The MRP Reports is a set of reports that provide information that helps you determine the component items that have insufficient quantities to complete a work order, as well as the accumulated shortage quantities, and inventory items that need to be manufactured to replenish item quantity shortages.

Each of the MRP Reports has various options and criteria that provide a wide variety of materials requirement-related information and report formats. Read the information below to get a closer look at each of the MRP Reports available in the Manufacturing module.

Items Requiring Production Report

The Items Requiring Production Report provides information on the master or parent items that are suggested to be manufactured based upon their reorder points and inventory quantities (e.g. on hand, in process, etc.). The report shows details such as the item number and description, warehouses, available quantities, in-process quantities, last finished costs, safety stock, reorder point and suggested quantity to produce for the item. This report is useful in easily identifying the inventory items that need to be manufactured and replenished.

Projected Material Requirement Report

The Projected Material Requirement Report lists the work orders to complete for each component item and the manufacturing step level the component is required. This report also provides data on the request dates, available quantities, manufacturing quantities, quantities posted to work-in-process, used quantities, and required quantities for each component item. You can refer to this report when managing and prioritizing work order production. This report can also help you determine the component items that have insufficient quantities to complete a work order as well as the accumulated shortage quantities.

You can opt to exclude from the report the component items that are not in shortage. You also have the option to include in the report the completed work orders.
