The Print Routing Slip function allows you to preview and print a routing slip that provides information on the manufacturing instructions, raw materials quantities, labor resource, and machine time needed to manufacture an inventory item. You can print routing slips for jobs that are yet to be posted to work-in-process. You can use the routing slip as reference in planning the job production, in determining the master items backorder quantities, and in identifying the proposed start and end time for manufacturing the items. It also helps in determining the variance between the planned and actual production results if compared with the Production Slip.

This report function allows you to choose whether to show remnant item information in work orders, print without the report labels' background color, and print the instructions for each step of the manufacturing process on a separate page. You can also opt to print only the previously printed routing slips, all the unprinted routing slips, or all routing slips regardless of their printing status.
